As COVID cases fall and vaccination levels rise across Washington State, we are encouraged to see more opportunities for communities to begin reopening safely, including more businesses and services to the public
Current vaccination rates in Pierce County are not where County officials expected us to be and are not matching state-wide averages. To maintain our client, staff and volunteer safety, we are looking forward to reopening our Tacoma office doors for visitors and in-person services once Pierce County vaccination rates achieve at least the 70% benchmark.
In the meantime, we are still here to serve our community. We offer a confidential 24/7 hotline staffed with skilled and compassionate advocates available to offer information and referrals, crisis intervention, general, medical and legal advocacy to survivors of any form of sexual violence and their loved ones. To speak with an advocate today, call 253-474-7273. Our website offers a confidential online chat platform to speak with an advocate as well. We continue to offer trauma-focused therapy services to survivors and their loved ones ages 13+ via a telehealth model that has proven effective and successful for clients since last Spring. We continue to respond to referrals for youth and adults at-risk for or experiencing commercial sexual exploitation or sex trafficking. We also continue to conduct community outreach and provide professional education and prevention education services across the community.
Since last summer, our program leaders have authorized in-person responses and services in the community on case-by-base bases and continue to do so today. If you are interested in learning more about how we’re providing our services now or if you are in need of support, don’t delay in contacting our 24-hour hotline to learn more. You can also reach out to program staff directly by phone or email.
We look forward to opening our doors to you again, soon, and want you to know that we are still here for the Pierce County community. Please continue staying safe and healthy until then.
